Sennheiser Announces PC 373D Gaming Headset

With the release of its PC 373D, Sennheiser has announced the new reference headset for competitive PC gamers around the world.

The Dolby Surround Sound technology in the headset provides 7.1 experience with a two-speaker system.

“As the successor to our popular PC 363D, it is the definitive choice for gamers seeking to be fully immersed in their gaming sessions and that demand a very high quality surround sound level”.

This headset gives you 7.1 Dolby Surround with the company’s “unique transducer technology” ensuring clarity and accuracy of sound placement, the latter being particularly critical when it comes to competitive gaming, of course. Sounds pretty basic, but a new software equalizer allows the user to decide which of four surround modes are activated when that button is pressed, with modes optimized for general gaming, esports or music, and a neutral “off” setting.

The PC 373D also includes a Surround Dongle that lets you switch between stereo and surround sound at the press of a button.

The Sennheiser PC 373D gaming headset is available beginning this month, and retails for $260. Apart from a few splashes of red in the ear pads, microphone and boom arm, the 373D looks basically the same as the earlier model, fitted with the same velvety plushness in the headband and ear pads.

You can pre-order the headset now from Sennheiser’s official website with a two-year warranty. Based in Wedemark near Hanover, Germany, Sennheiser operates its own production facilities in Germany, Ireland and the United States of America and is active in more than 50 countries.
