Hillary Clinton creates history, becomes Democrats US presidential nominee
President Barack Obama plans to vouch for Hillary Clinton’s foreign-policy credentials in a speech Wednesday meant to rebut Republican criticism of her record as secretary of state. But a smaller group of so-called “Bernie or Bust” delegates remain, including in Wisconsin. “You’ve got to get in the arena with her, because democracy isn’t a spectator sport”. But looking at the front pages of Wednesday’s newspapers, you’d think Bill just won again.

Hillary Clinton’s nomination was a milestone in America’s 240-year-old history.
As first lady, he said she was “a natural to head the healthcare taskforce”, and although that particular Bill failed, she “immediately went to work on solving the problems the Bill sought to address one by one”.
Nationwide, media organizations made a decision to run front-page images of either Mr. Clinton or Bernie Sanders.
“The cornerstone of his campaign is not economics”, Sanders added.
Sanders, an independent senator from Vermont, reminded Texas delegates that before he ran for president, Trump was a “leader of the so-called “birther” movement”, which demanded to see the birth certificate of President Barack Obama.
When she formally accepts it later today, she will become the Democratic standard-bearer against Republican nominee Mr Trump in the 8 November election.
Looking back to Tuesday night’s roll call: why was it so important for you and other Sanders supporters to be able to cast your votes for him?
In a recent poll 68 per cent of Americans regarded her as “dishonest”, more than distrusted Mr Trump, while more than half the country said they viewed Mrs Clinton “unfavourably”. Look at the trajectory of the candidates we’ve been choosing. She was doing everything I was doing, but just like Ginger Rogers, it was backwards in heels. A lot of her positions have been modified and she’s now embracing the principles and goals of the Sanders campaign. Elizabeth Warren are now with Hillary.
Kevin Tengesdal also finds himself at a political crossroads. Obama will offer a sunnier vision of the nation and of his presidency in one of his last big opportunities to frame his legacy before a mass audience.
Has that made it harder for you to move on?
“On the heels of reports that Russian Federation may have hacked Democratic Party emails, Mr Trump said, “Russia, if you’re listening”, it would be desirable to see Moscow find and publish the thousands of emails Clinton says she deleted during her years as secretary of state”.
“Cartoons are two-dimensional, they’re easy to absorb”, he said. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) protested inside the convention hall during earlier speeches Wednesday night.
We are someday going to face a true tyrant.
We need to build the resistance from the ground up. But there are many honorable individuals who represent this party and I know that they’re going to make sure going forward, we’re more transparent and clearly remain objective in our support. What are you hoping to hear from her?
So-called “free speech zones” have been a feature of these conventions for almost thirty years now, and they seem to get even more absurd as time passes, if that’s possible.
