#DemsInPhilly Social Reaction: Kaine, Obama, Biden and Bloomberg
In an earlier speech in Philadelphia, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden said Trump was an opportunist who has no clue about how to make America great or help working families. “But as I’ve traveled this country, through all fifty states, as I’ve rejoiced with you and mourned with you, what I’ve also seen, more than anything, is what is right with America”, Obama said in his excerpts of the speech.

Vice President Joe Biden leaned on his personal relationship with Hillary Clinton Wednesday evening to make the case for her candidacy, arguing the “times are too uncertain” to elect her rival, Donald Trump. “His lack of empathy and compassion can be summed up in a phrase I suspect he’s most proud of having made famous, ‘you’re fired, ‘” Biden said. “How can there be pleasure in saying ‘you’re fired?’ He’s trying to say he cares about the middle class”.
Biden said Trump has no knowledge on the needs of the middle class.
In conclusion, Obama acknowledged that Clinton was not flawless, but that she was the best candidate for the job, and predicted that she will be the next President of the United States as long as Americans put aside any of their differences and get out an vote. Biden then delved into why, in his opinion, there is only one real candidate in the presidential election this year, and why that candidate is Hillary Clinton.
“America is already great”, the president said, in reference to Trump’s campaign slogan, stating, “America is already strong”. “We can not elect a man who belittles our closest allies while embracing dictators like Vladimir Putin. Actually, he has no clue, period”, said Biden. “That’s who we are”, Biden said. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton received the number of votes needed to secure the party’s nomination. “We own the finish line, don’t forget it”, he said to loud cheers.
Biden noted that the president is “a man of character, and he has become a brother to Jill and me – and Michelle, I don’t know where you are, kid, but you’re incredible”. “I know Hillary. Hillary understands”.
In an excerpt released on Wednesday, Obama says, “The America I know is full of courage and optimism and ingenuity. Give me a break!”
President Barack Obama, standing with Vice President Joe Biden, conducts a press conference in the East Room of the White House in response to the Iran Nuclear Deal, on July 14, 2015, in Washington, DC.
He said the United States “does not scare easily”, and when confronted with crisis, “we endure, we overcome and we always move forward”.
