However, the journey to represent the country was a tough one. The talent might sometimes get buried down due to not providing ample opportunities, this is what happening in the case of Sushil kumar.
Kumar The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) awarded the Rio spot to Yadav last month.
“I don’t think it is a debatable issue because whatever be the reason of doping, the whole world is watching and I think it will be extremely hard for him to go to Rio”.
According to the dope results, Narsingh was tested positive for banned anabolic steroid methandienone, a performance enhancing substance and prima facie will not be able to compete at the quadrennial event. That meeting with India’s National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) was reported as being slated for Wednesday the 27th, but UWW had apparently already informed the Indian Olympic Association of their options.
“Although Praveen Rana has been named as replacement for Yadav if he gets a clean cheat, I am ready to fight another battle for him to secure his Olympic berth”, Singh told IANS. Yadav has pointed fingers at the younger brother of an worldwide wrestler, saying that he infiltrated his room and tampered with his food supplements, adding banned substances to it.
“The entire matter of Narsingh Yadav should be probed by the CBI and if anyone is found guilty then he should be punished”, Ranjan said while raising the matter during Zero Hour.
Yadav was under provisional suspension for failing a doping test on 25 June and failed a second test on 5 July. Narsingh is learnt to have personally filed an FIR immediately after the suspected incident came to light.
Amid scenes of complete pandemonium at the NADA headquarters, Narsingh was accompanied by not just lawyers but also his supporters, who shouted slogans demanding justice for him.

While Yadav is busy preparing his defence, he received support from fellow wrestler and London Olympics bronze medallist Yogeshwar Dutt yesterday who tweeted, “Khusti ke liye bht dukhi hun. We are also sending a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding for inquiry into the matter”, said Narsingh’s father Pancham Yadav, a native of Neema Murari village in Varanasi.
