Music from The Land has been releasing in recent weeks, and on Wednesday, we get another offering from Erkyah Badu and Nas called “This Bitter Land”.

The film is also set to feature new music from the likes of Ezzy, Machine Gun Kelly and a collection of other prominent names from the urban music community. The track, titled “The Bitter Land”, underscores the movie’s central theme of trying to overcome harsh circumstances.

As the neo-soul singer’s voice rifts with pain, Nas meets her vocals and says, “Running on the concrete, passed the train tracks/The devil is behind me and the ghetto’s where you’ll find me”. “I wanted it to be as authentic as possible, so we shot in tough neighborhoods”.

In the first, above, there’s a run-in with the a local drug dealer.
