Bernie Sanders issues statement on DNC chair resignation

That was certainly the sentiment expressed at a pro-Sanders rally in the middle of Sunday afternoon at JFK Plaza in downtown Philadelphia, where there were signs hoisted by protesters calling for Wasserman Schultz’s ouster.

“Going forward, the best way for me to accomplish those goals is to step down as Party Chair at the end of this convention”. Assange says that Wikileaks, the infamous whistle-blowing website, will soon be publishing documents that contain “enough evidence” for the Department of Justice to indict Hillary Clinton, the expected Democratic nominee.

Wasserman Schultz, a Florida congresswoman, did not mention the email scandal when she announced her resignation earlier Sunday in an emailed statement. There were also emails about when the Sanders campaign improperly accessed Clinton campaign’s proprietary voter information that was housed at the DNC. Tim Kaine, was a disappointment and that he would have preferred Massachusetts Sen. According to her online biography, she graduated from the University of Florida.

Sanders, who is scheduled to address the Democratic convention Monday night, had previously asked for the resignation of Wasserman Schultz and reiterated that call Sunday.

“For the last eight years, Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has had my back”. “Her fundraising and organizing skills were matched only by her passion, her commitment and her warmth”.

Wasserman Schultz had effectively lost control of the DNC already after Hillary Clinton’s campaign inserted operative Brandon Davis to run it on a day-to-day basis.

“It was concerning last week that Donald Trump changed the Republican platform to become what some experts would regard as pro-Russian”, Mook said. “I mean, that is just totally unacceptable behavior”, he said.

“Wow, the Republican Convention went so smoothly compared to the Dems total mess”, he wrote on Twitter. Ted Cruz was resoundingly jeereds.

Morgan’s feud with Wasserman Schultz began after she bad-mouthed his push for a Florida constitutional amendment to legalize medical pot. Those votes translated into 222 pledged democratic delegates. She will be the first woman nominated for president by a major U.S. political party.

Democratic National Committee communications director Luis Miranda tweeted that Donna Brazile will service as interim chair “through the election”.

“It’s gas meets flame”, the Democrat said.

“We’ve got to challenge the corporate power in the Democratic Party represented by Hillary Clinton today”, Solomon said. “I don’t know, but I’m sure it’s a fire drill”. Progressives across the country were coalescing behind her 2016 primary opponent, Tom Canova, who raised more than $1 million for an upcoming August primary.

Sanders has endorsed Clinton, but his delegates are pushing for a state-by-state tally. “But she is stubborn”, the Clinton ally said. “It’s really too bad – we need her coalition building”.

Clinton is “disingenuous, not real”, Laurie Cestnick, coordinator for the Occupy DNC Convention protest group, told AFP. But it seemed to do little to pacify them.

He added: “But again, we discussed this many, many months ago, on this show, so what is revealed now is not a shock to me”.

The decision was blessed by Clinton and Sanders officials, this Democrat said.
