“Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” will air on Friday, Nov. 25 at 12:01 AM PT, TVLine reported.
Sherman-Palladino had initially hoped to release the episodes one at a time, but she said Netflix was not open to the idea.
A Year in the Life is set in the present day, almost a decade after the end of the original Gilmore Girls in 2007, and returns to the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut.
“Gilmore Girls” fans were in for a treat Wednesday (July 27) when Netflix released a first look at the upcoming four-part revival, featuring Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) having a patented mother-daughter chat in the kitchen of their Stars Hollow home. Namely, whether Amy Schumer would like Lorelai (No, Rory says, because water sports) and if John Oliver would find Lorelai hot.
“Who knows, it could keep going and going and going, as long as we all go to the gym and stay in shape”, offered Scott Patterson on the topic of continuing Gilmore Girls in the future.
Now while the stars of the series, together with executive producers Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino, are keeping the juicy details of the show to themselves for now, E! After all, there are only four 90-minute episodes to watch, leaving us with a mere six hours of reunification. And we thought that’d be a lovely way to catch up with all three of our Gilmore Girls over the course of a year.
You’ll get to see Yanic Truesdale (who will reprise snooty concierge Michel), Keiko Agena (who plays rock-‘n’-roll lover Lane Kim), and Sean Gunn (who’ll take a break from being the body of Rocket Racoon to reprise his Gilmore Girls role, Kirk Gleason), too.
Graham also teased about her character Lorelai, “She does have a love life”.
“She’s the same”, she said.
It’s just a simple chat between Rory and her mom, but it’s so flawless!

Amy adds that Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is the completion of a journey, one which began with the original run of the series.
