In what is bound to be an wonderful portrait lens, Nikon has just announced a new 105mm F1.4E ED Lens. These users will love the precise sharpness from this fantastic glass, which provides a flattering compression to subjects with a sensational, sultry bokeh.
A new portrait lens has been unveiled by Nikon which will definitely attract photographers, especially the ones in the field of shooting portfolios or fashion.
Nikon is also pleased to announce that the total production of NIKKOR lenses for Nikon interchangeable lens cameras reached the landmark 100 million milestone in mid-July 2016. The NIKKOR name arose from adding “r”, a common practice in the naming of photographic lenses at the time the name was established, to “Nikko”, the Romanized abbreviation for Nippon Kogaku K.K., the original name used when the company was established. The new 105mm also features Nikon’s latest electromagnetic aperture (nine-bladed, in this case) for fast and accurate exposures even at high exposure rates. There’s also a Fluorine coating which helps to boost resistance against various elements such as dust, dirt, water, oils, and grease.
The lens is expected to be available in August, priced at £2,049.99 / $2,199.95. In 1959, Nikon released the Nikon F SLR camera, as well as its first NIKKOR lenses for Nikon SLR cameras, including the Nikkor-S Auto 5cm f/2. The 105mm focal length and 1 meter shortest focusing distance allow for frame-filling head-shots without the need to crop. NIKKOR is Nikon’s brand of photographic lenses.
