Powerball jackpot jumps to $478 million; $1 million victor sold in Ohio

No one matched the jackpot-winning numbers in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing, but one lucky person in Arlington, Virginia, is $1 million richer.

It’s been a couple months since the last time the Powerball jackpot was hit.

Locations were announced for one $1 million victor and other Pennsylvania Powerball winners as the jackpot has grown to almost $500 million, according to lottery officials.

Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing is up to $422 million.
