Pueblo gas prices moving lower

Gas prices are the least expensive in SC ($1.85) and the highest in Hawaii ($2.80) and California ($2.80).

According to the American Automobile Association, the average price of a gallon of gas nationwide fell to $2.16 per gallon on Monday, marking the lowest they’ve been since April, and represent a decline in 43 of the last 44 days. Some stations are selling below $1.90 a gallon.

Prices have fallen by 22 cents over the past six weeks, five cents in the last week alone, as fuel prices continue to sit at lows not seen in the summer months since 2004.

While the temperature has been rising, gas prices across the country have been dropping. In every state, fuel prices are substantially lower than one year ago in every state.

DeHaan says gas and crude stocks remain at record levels.

The River Region isn’t the only place where gas prices are going down, but there aren’t many areas that have cheaper gas right now.

Despite the lowest seasonal prices in 12 years, it’s important to note the possibility that unexpected events could trigger higher prices later this summer. A recent check of GasBuddy.com showed that most of Hampton Roads was comfortably under $2 per gallon.
