Both Eagles fans and players were displeased, because the banner flew over the stadium in Philadelphia during a pregame rendition of the national anthem, this on the team’s Military Day.

The Eagles fan who hired a plane to fly a banner over Dallas Cowboys training camp on Sunday released a statement via his Twitter account offering condolences to the pilot who lost his life in a crash, initially reported to to be towing the trash-talking banner.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys are set to play Week 2 in an NFC East clash. Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson called the incident, “a waste of money”.

Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy helped fund the stunt. He added, “I think he’s a hothead and gets carried away with himself”. I wondered what was going on when after the seventh successful hook, all of a sudden, his plane nosed to the ground. “I had heard rumors about that”.

“Oh, yeah, that was interesting”, Eagles outside linebacker Connor Barwin said. “We’re not concerned about them but it seems like they’re concerned about us”, said DeMeco Ryans. There won’t be a chance to react to Hardy’s prank, however. Already this offseason, New England Patriots fans paid for a banner speaking out against NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in the wake of his decision to uphold quarterback Tom Brady’s four-game Deflategate suspension and New York Jets fans hired a plane to fly a “Cheaters” banner over Patriots training camp.
