The next installment of Marvel’s cinematic universe will branch off into the arcane with Doctor Strange. Plus, the studio also unveiled its new fanfare and logo, due to debut in front of the next Marvel Studios feature films.

He also talked about what the film means for the rest of the cinematic franchise, saying that it will do for the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse what the comics did for the Marvel multiverse. “It’s really serving the same function that the comic did”. Perhaps the story will pick up with odd hiking through the Himalayas in search of the mystical remedies (and The Ancient One, played by Tilda Swinton) that he hopes will heal his hands, which are no longer capable of performing surgical procedures after he suffered through an auto accident. Mikkelsen himself was even more circumspect [and don’t even bother asking him about Star Wars].

Feige brought onstage Ryan Coogler, who helmed Rocky spin-off “Creed” a year ago and has turned his attention to the fictional world of Wakanda for “Black Panther”, due in 2018.

Coogler, who directed “Creed” and “Fruitvale Station”, said that it was a very emotional experience being at Comic-Con. “I’m excited more than anything else”.

Britsh actor Tom Holland stars as Peter Parker in the latest big screen reboot of the web-slinger, which director Jon Watts described as a “high school movie”. “How do you depict being a high school student in a world where there are Avengers?“.

The only man who wasn’t so anxious about any of that was Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn.
