DNC Chairwoman steps down amidst email scandal
PHILADELPHIA | Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort said Sunday that Hillary Clinton should follow the example of Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and quit the presidential race.

On the hacked emails, Clinton’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, tried to shift blame away from DNC officials to “Russian state actors” who, he said, may have hacked into DNC computers “for the goal of helping Donald Trump”, the Republican presidential nominee.
“Any objective observer will conclude that – based on her ideas and her leadership – Hillary Clinton must become the next president of the United States”, he declared in a headlining address on the opening night of the Democratic convention.
“This controversy aggravates all of the fears and suspicions that millions of Americans who supported Bernie Sanders had during the Democratic primaries and caucuses”, said Robert Reich, a Sanders backer who was secretary of labor in Bill Clinton’s administration.
Sanders scored the resignation of party chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a nemesis in the primaries, but that wasn’t enough to quell the anger of supporters.
“That is the only fair way to go forward with this election”, Feegan said Sunday.
Wasserman Schultz will continue serving as a member of Congress for her home state of Florida after she leaves her post in the Democratic party’s leadership.
The statement was not signed by the ousted DNC head, Debbie Wasserman Schultz. He said the Sanders campaign had not contacted his group to encourage them to not protest.
Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., will not preside over the convention as its permanent chairman. Now a source says, in the wake of the email leaks, that Wasserman Schultz no longer has a major speaking role at the Democratic National Convention.
Brazile, who is a weekly contributor and political strategist on CNN’s “The Situation Room”, will be stepping away from her position at the news network effective immediately. “She has her share of problems, but I don’t know if that’s going to hit her in her district”. I think I read he is an atheist. “I think there’s no question in any objective observers mind that the DNC was supporting Hillary Clinton”. They allowed her to attend for fear of unfavorable publicity. Timothy Kaine, D-Va., as her running mate.
Under a tentative proposal that would not apply to this year’s convention, roughly two-thirds of all super delegates would be required to vote in accordance with the outcome of their state’s primary or caucus. “Yes, I would have”, Sanders said on NBC’s “Meet the Press”.
The statement said the party will not tolerate disrespectful language. Jacobs said Clinton’s achievement was historic. She will gavel each session to order and will gavel each session closed. His campaign helped approve a number of provisions in the party’s platform, from a $15 an hour federal minimum wage to an expansion of health care. The federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour, while the MI rate is $8.50.
Sanders joined a high-wattage line-up of speakers, including first lady Michelle Obama who delivered a forceful, impassioned defense of the Democratic nominee.
But Monday morning was a preview of what could happen when she takes the convention stage.
Her announcement that she was leaving had pro-Sanders supporters cheering during a demonstration in Philadelphia and Donald Trump crowing, too. “We didn’t get the strong language we wanted”.
During an interview with CNN Sanders said he wasn’t shocked by it.
Clinton allies were hopeful Monday that after four nights of speeches, the tensions over and Wasserman Schultz and her DNC staff would be forgotten.
Sanders delegates were blindsided by the proposal, prompting a temporary pause in committee work and chants of “withdraw” before the proposed amendment was eventually withdrawn.
Mrs Clinton is to be officially nominated at the Philadelphia meeting.

“If I could ask everybody to settle down”, she said.
