2 injured when small plane crashes at Wisconsin airport

Lt. Ryan Waldschmidt tells Action 2 News the Department of Homeland Security notified Wisconsin’s Department of Criminal Investigation that suspect Oscar Palma may be in Fond du Lac County.

Two men were injured when a small plane crashed at Fond du Lac County Airport.

No other information is available at this time.

The men were transported to ThedaCare Medical Center by Flight for Life and Theda Star Helicopters.

According to a report from Fox 11 in Fond du Lac, the crash happened in a field in the northwest corner of the airport, just west of the north-south runway.

Both victims were seriously injured and flown to the hospital.

The airport was closed immediately after the crash but resumed normal operations at about 10 a.m.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
