HTC Nexus Marlin Render Shows Design Similar to HTC 10

Although Google has yet to issue an official statement with regard to the development and the release of Google Nexus 2016, fans and critics have already shared their predictions on what to expect once the highly anticipated device arrives in the market. He claimed that the file is containing the hardware features for the device that is codenamed as “S1” or now famously dubbed as “Sailfish”. The two phones are expected to compete with Apple’s iPhone.

Additionally, the alleged build.prop file tipped off that the HTC Sailfish might have a 5.2-inch display – of yet unknown technology – with a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels at that. The device will run on the latest Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm, which will be paired with 4 GB of RAM.

Other features of “Marlin” include a 12-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter. And if this is to be believed, the next flagship smartphone may very well be encased to a screen size of between 5.2 and 5.3 inches.

Popular tipster Evan Blass recently revealed several details on Twitter about the upcoming Google Nexus 2016. Its specs is nearly similar to its sibling, except that it has a 2770-mAh removal type battery while the larger version has a 3450-mAh battery. The renders reveal that the Nexus device will apparently have its fingerprint sensor on the back of the device instead of on the home button as found on the HTC 10. In fact, these two devices will be the first handsets to come with Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box.

Know Your Mobile also mentioned that there is a possibility that Android Nougat could arrive by August at the earliest. It is usual for companies to lower the prices of their current models, especially when they are preparing to launch the successors. However, it finally started to get clearer as reports are starting to circulate that HTC will release two Nexus devices with codenames “Marlin” and “Sailfish”.
