Tim Kaine goes after Trump as ‘one-man wrecking crew’ at DNC
Some supporters of Sanders, her primary opponent, continued to voice their displeasure. They claim the deal puts the interests of rich, multi-national corporations before those of American workers. “And that’s why I can say with confidence there has never been a man or a woman more qualified than Hillary Clinton to serve as president of the United States of America”.

“Not Donald Trump. He never tells you how he is going to do any of the things he says he will do”.
“Last week in Cleveland, we heard a lot about trust”, Kaine said.
A little later in the speech, he took on Trump for not releasing his tax returns.
“That’s what I’m about, that what you’re about”.
Kaine also won the crowd over by breaking out in Spanish multiple times during the speech.
Kaine then set into an indictment of Trump, kicking off with a “dad’s trying to be funny” impression of Trump, repeating the Trumpian refrain “believe me”.
The ex-governor, also a former mayor of Richmond and city council member, hasn’t lost an election in Virginia since his first campaign in the mid-1990s. Tim Kaine, D-Va., speaks during a breakfast for the Virginia delegates, Wednesday, July 27, 2016, in Philadelphia. Vice President Joe Biden spoke not long before him, holding forth with trademark folksiness and poignant remembrances of his son Beau, who died a year ago of brain cancer. “She’s the best change maker I ever met in my entire life”, he said.
Beyond Florida, his language skills could be an asset for Clinton in the battleground states of Colorado, Nevada and Virginia.
In prepared remarks, Kaine planned to call Trump “a slick-talking, empty-promising, self-promoting, one-man wrecking crew”.
While Kaine tried to reinforce his progressive bona fides during his speech, he made no mention of his recent shift on the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a trade agreement he had strongly supported but that is opposed by many on the left. Trump claimed “McDonnell took a fraction of what Kaine took”. Stay tuned to ABC7 Eyewitness News this week for more live reports from the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
“Hillary Clinton will be a force for real and progressive change in this nation”, he said. But they wanted to “make it as tight as possible”, he said.

In picking Kaine, Clinton bypassed two Latinos on her short list: Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro and Labor Secretary Tom Perez. The governor whose state hosted his party’s convention in Cleveland “wouldn’t even attend it because he thinks Trump is such a moral disaster”, said Kaine.
