David Lee: David Lee agrees to 2-year deal w/ the Spurs

The deal is worth $3.2 million and Lee holds a player option on the second season. If we’re playing the prediction game, Lee will likely be making another postseason trip to Oracle Arena in 2017, but this time as a member of the Spurs.

David Lee hasn’t played like his old self in the last couple years, but that won’t stop his value to National Basketball Association teams.

The Spurs have reached an agreement with free agent forward David Lee on a two-year deal, league sources confirmed to the Express-News.

It was only three seasons ago that Lee was putting up big numbers as a member of the Golden State Warriors.

Lee has career averages of 14.2 points and 9.2 rebounds in 750 career National Basketball Association games.

Things didn’t work out with the Celtics, though, and Lee was waived in mid-February.

With forward David West headed to the Warriors, the Spurs will bring in another David to fill his role.

The two-time All-Star averaged 7.8 rebounds per game and 5.5 rebounds per game in 16.4 minutes per game in 2015-16, splitting time between the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks.
