Murad to have Sindh crown today
Ruling Pakistan People’s Party’s Syed Murad Ali Shah has filed nomination papers for the election of the new Chief Minister of Sindh to contest the elections scheduled to be held on Friday (tomorrow). The election will be held at 3:00pm in the Sindh Assembly.

The decision to reshuffle the Sindh cabinet was taken at a high-level meeting jointly chaired by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former president Asif Ali Zardari in Dubai this week.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have decided not to take part in the voting. Khurram Sher Zaman said that if elected, his first priority would be to extend the Rangers’ powers and improve the situation of law and order.
On Thursday, Murad Ali Shah, Sher Zaman and two other PPP candidates Dr. Sikandar Ali Mandhro and Jam Mehtab Dahar submitted their nomination papers in Sindh Assembly Secretariat. After scrutiny of the nomination papers the final list of the candidates will be announced.
He said they were against any discrimination but the PPP had created differences among urban and rural population.

On this occasion, Shah endorsed party leadership’s decision to install a new chief minister in Sindh and said he would continue to serve the party. MQM MPAs Khuwaja Izharul Haq and Syed Sardar Ahmed had highly criticised the PPP on the failures of its government in the province and said the election was not a change of system but a change of faces. He was flanked by ex-CM Qaim Ali Shah and Agha Siraj.
