“Russia has no respect for our country, if it is Russia”, Trump said.
The HBO host addressed the Trump-Russia connection-and his treason-adjacent ask-again during the panel portion of the show, pointing out that if Hillary Clinton had done the same, requesting that a hostile foreign actor commit cyberterrorism against her opponent, she’d be absolutely crucified and potentially be branded a traitor.
“If they hacked, they probably have her 33,000 emails”.
“For decades, Hillary Clinton has been embroiled in scandals caused by her own lies and unethical behaviour, and Americans have had enough of it”, said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.
Soon after Panetta spoke Wednesday night, the Trump campaign released a statement criticizing the former defense secretary’s stance and saying it was Clinton who had breached national security.
Reeling off his greatest hits as president, from the auto industry bailout and health care overhaul to landmark deals on climate change and Iran’s nuclear program, Obama said the choice was between Trump vision of “a country where we turn against each other, and turn away from the rest of the world” and “the America I know”. Obama also appeared to embrace the notion that President Vladimir Putin might have been responsible because of what he described as Trumps affinity for Putin.
Moishe Mana, a top fundraiser for Clinton, has offered to give $1 million to the charity of Trump’s choice if he makes them public.
