Barack Obama’s Hillary Clinton speech will make you fist pump

She’s already made history and now it’s up to her to close the deal on this final night of the Democratic National Convention.

Clinton didn’t acknowledged any of the jeers or yelling.

“It was downright disrespectful”, said Kweisi Mfume, a Clinton delegate and former head of the NAACP, who called it a “a low point” of the four-day summer meeting. But there was a spring in their step and smile on their face when those at the Democratic National Convention left for home late on Wednesday night.

Clinton is the first woman nominee of a major party.

Frame said she believes some voters still hold female politicians to different standards than their male counterparts.

Saunders says both parties play “wedge and identity politics” on many issues.

“Hillary has a passion for kids and families”.

“We don’t go vacationing together”, Obama said during a CBS interview Sunday.

Neither deal happened while she was in government.

But lingering questions over her use of a private email server during her time at the State Department – compiled with voters’ suspicions about the Clinton administration scandals of the 1990s – erased much of that warmth for the former first lady, leaving Clinton with historically poor favorability among voters.

Barack Obama delivered a killer speech last night in which he pledged support to Hillary Clinton once again.

And she described her opponent, Republican nominee Donald Trump, as a self-absorbed and unstable leader antithetical to America’s need for cool-headed and compassionate leadership.

“The truth is, through all of these years of public service, the service part has always come easier to me than the public part”.

She said Americans are willing to work, and work hard.

President Barack Obama and Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton acknowledge the crowd during the third day of the Democratic National Convention, Wednesday, July 27, 2016, in Philadelphia.

That’s a knock on Trump. “The America I know is decent and generous”.

“I am so exhausted by it”, said Danielle Adams, a black Clinton delegate from North Carolina.

The address bookends Obama’s career-launching address to the Democratic convention in 2004, his contentious 2008 primary battle with Clinton and his eight years in office.

Obama encouraged Sanders supporters who want “more justice” to vote in state and local elections. “But too many of them are not doing well enough”, Hoyer said.

Yet this touchstone presidential moment had been a decade or more in the making. They won’t say exactly what. “That’s the only way we can turn our progressive platform into real change for America”. “This is the first time we’re going to have a president actively campaigning for a nominee of his own party”. He reminded voters that Reagan famously called America “a shining city on a hill”.

Clinton asked whether Trump would stay true to the phrase on the country’s seal – “E Pluribus Unum”, or out of many, we are one. “He wants to divide us – from the rest of the world, and from each other”.

Thousands of delegates and guests packed into the Wells Fargo Center chanting “Yes, we can” and waving blue OBAMA signs.

Trump has also relied on his children to soften his image. “She is criticized for her laugh”, Frame said Thursday. “There’s the United States of America”.

Clinton checked off one policy difference after another with Trump. As before most of his important speeches, Obama has drafted portions of his address longhand on yellow legal pads.
