SHOCKING: Dalit couple in UP killed over Rs15
The incident occurred when the couple was going for paddy transplantation.

A Dalit couple was hacked to death over Rs 15.
When on Thursday morning, the couple was on their way to work in the fields, they were confronted by Mishra, who demanded immediate payment of the money.
Officials said that security in the village has been stepped up and policemen deputed to protect the three children left behind by the Dalit couple – Bharat (45) and his wife Mamta (41) – in their hut.
Mainpuri is Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Yadav’s constituency and the incident drew severe criticism from the opposition party in the state. It was learnt that the couple allegedly owed Rs 15 to him and failed to repay the amount. The couple died on the spot and police had been deployed in the village as residents were terrorized by the brutal incident.
Some local people rushed the profusely bleeding couple to a nearby hospital where the doctor declared them brought dead. “We will take the strictest possible action against him”, said Pramod Chandra Gupta, District Magistrate, Mainpuri.
The Mainpuri Police have arrested the accused and started inquest proceeding.

A police officer said: “The heads of both of them were severed; the man’s body had nine wounds and woman’s seven”. “Teams from Karhal, Barnal and Kurra police stations are camping in the village to maintain peace”, said SP Verma.
