Want to make it clear Indian government does not only want to have need-based relationship with Kashmir, but an emotional one.
“The difference of opinion can be resolved through talks as there can be no other solution”, Rajnath said, adding, problems cannot be solved in short of span of time.
To a question on whether there will be any talks with separatists, Singh said, “Let normalcy and peace be restored first”.
The Home Minister will also meet Governor Narendra Nath Vohra separately.
Meanwhile, the state government said on Friday that during the last 10 days, 2,252 persons with minor and major injuries have been treated in various hospitals.
“Please seek the cooperation and guidance of the real leaders of people and stakeholders, that includes Pakistan”, the KEA said.
Reports said Rajnath Singh told the delegations that the ongoing unrest was triggered by “forces from across the border”. Could there be something bigger than expressing sorrow?
On the current soulutions to curb the violence and treatment of the injured, “Have asked the security forces to refrain from using pellet guns as much as possible”. The KEA, in an open letter to the Home Minister, said while they could understand the urgency for his visit to Kashmir for assessing the situation, “we also can easily determine the futility of this exercise”. “There were no reports of any untoward incident from anywhere in the Valley although some stray stone-pelting incidents were reported from isolated places”, the spokesman said. His slogan of “Insaaniyat, Jamhooriyat and Kashmiriyat”, has been a major factors used by PDP in forming alliance with BJP in J&K. “I have never said there should be plebiscite. I will check about it and will see about its progress”. As far as Chidambaram is concerned, I will look into his suggestions.

On the issue of pellet guns, the HM said, “We will constitute an expert committee to find out ways to use of non-lethal weapon”. He said if a plane is required to airlift patients to Delhi, it will be kept at disposal “to treat all the injured children”. “If their number is high, we can arrange a special plane”, he said.
