Nintendo which is Kyoto-based Company announced this Wednesday that company has sunk to a net loss of 24.5 billion yen which is $234.2 million. Sales of the 3DS rose from 7.9 million units previous year during this quarter to 8.4 million units in the same period for 2016.
You will have to wait another month or so to grab Pokemon Go Plus.
Roughly 13 percent of Pokemon GO sales should flow to Nintendo, according to an estimate by David Gibson, an analyst at Macquarie Securities in Tokyo.
Nintendo refused to give a specific reason for this launch delay.
Separately, Nintendo said Pokemon Go Plus, an accessory for the mobile game, would be launched in September instead of at the end of this month as originally planned. In particular, the game has just begun allowing “sponsored locations” – initially with McDonalds in Japan – and there is a wearable device on its way, albeit with a later launch date of September. Both Nintendo and The Pokemon Company, one of its subsidiaries, have invested in the privately-held Niantic – but so have other firms including Google.
The plan comprised of returning 580 billion yen (USD 5.53 billion) of capital to shareholders, making games available via app stores for smart devices and a clear plan of monetizing Nintendo’s intellectual property.
In terms of new features, what is one thing that you would like to see brought forth in Pokemon Go?
Nintendo has been very hot and cold lately. “In contrast to Pokemon Go earnings, Nintendo would have pocketed most of the margin for the device”.
Meanwhile the handheld 3DS sold less than a million. You can check more of what it does and how it works on its official page, but suffice it to say that it should make any trainer’s life a little bit easier and their phone battery life a little bit longer.

The company will hope to excite gamers with the release of the new Nintendo NX console – but that’s not due to be released until early 2017.
