‘Stop inciting Kashmir violence, leave PoK,’ MEA slams Pak over ‘Black Day’
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed “deep shock” over the killing of Wani and subsequent death of civilians in Kashmir due to police crackdown on protesters. They also thanked the Kashmiris based in the U.S. for carrying out protests and exhibiting solidarity with the people of the occupied territory.

“The Indian armed forces are using live ammunition on the mobs which has caused many civilian causalities”.
“We all feel sad over the lives lost”, Singh said but added that “barbarism” can have no place in the society, citing incidents where some people had celebrated when some securitymen were killed. “It is being reported that around 400 injured are in critical condition and more than 70 of the injured may have become permanently blind”, Aziz noted.
He also took umbrage over Aziz saying that New Delhi is practicing “state-sponsored terrorism” to suppress the voices of Kashmiris and to deny them their right to self-determination.
When asked why the government has been unable to convene an all parties conference (APC) on Kashmir violence, Aziz said political consensus already existed among all political parties on Kashmir, hence there was no need to convene the meeting. “Every day they are fighting against it”, Rajnath said while hitting out at Pakistan.
Sharif presided over a special meeting of the Federal Cabinet in Lahore on 15 July, 2016.
“I have written six letters – to the United Nations secretary-general, the presidents of the Security Council, Human Rights Committee chairman and Human Rights commissioner – to take notice of human rights violations in Kashmir”, he added.
Protests in Pakistan and other events on the occasion of what it described as Black Day on Kashmir were led and supported by not just the likes of Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed and Syed Salahuddin but also Jaish-e-Muhammed chief Masood Azhar, an accused in the recent Pathankot airbase attack case.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on July 21 sent a strong message to Pakistan and asked it to stop meddling in the internal affairs of India, while referring to the current unrest prevailing in Kashmir following the killing of Hizbul Commander Burhan Wani.
Speaking at the programme, attended by members of Pakistani and Kashmiri community, the ambassador of Pakistan Shahzad Ahmad said Pakistan has always supported the right of self-determination of Kashmiris and will continue to do so.
He said India terming Kashmir dispute as its internal affair was factually incorrect, legally untenable and indeed a violation of worldwide law and UN Security Council resolutions.

New Delhi also called on Islamabad to stop “misleading” the worldwide community, and Kashmiris, through military exercises, territorial claims, and threats to engage in conflict over the long-contested region. Quite a few of those who addressed the rallies threatened marches and protests before the High Commission of India in Islamabad.
