Dolphins’ Jordan reinstated by NFL after sitting out 2015
He will need to meet with the National Football League before the regular season to review his progress in order to be allowed to play in Week One. Once arrangements have been confirmed regarding his clinical resources in Miami, Jordan will be permitted to participate in all preseason activities.

Dion Jordan is back – kind of. If he manages to stay out of trouble, “he will be permitted to participate in all regular season activities beginning in Week 1”.
Commissioner Rodger Goodell notified Dion Jordan of the Miami Dolphins today that he has been reinstated to the National Football League on a conditional basis. His most recent suspension began in April 2015, and after that he didn’t fail or miss any drug tests while undergoing them weekly, his agent said in May.
His full reinstatement wouldn’t happen until “later in the season” when he will be evaluated again.
Jordan, who had been suspended for multiple violations of the league’s substance-abuse policy, was informed by Commissioner Roger Goodell today that he is conditionally reinstated.

The now-ended suspension was the third of Jordan’s career. In 2014 he was suspended for four games, which was reduced to two, but eventually became six (an added four-game suspension) when he had a second violation shortly after his first. The Miami group that drafted Jordan is gone, and he returns to a new coaching staff led by head coach Adam Gase. He will count $5.3 million salary cap against the salary cap, with $3.1 million in dead money if he is released.
