Ware says he’s feeling good but Broncos are being cautious
Outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware #94 of the Denver Broncos walks off the field smiling and holding a football after recovering a fumble to end the game against the Cincinnati Bengals in favor of the Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on December 28, 2015. I wouldn’t say there is any discomfort. Ware said the team is being extra cautious with his recovery and that he isn’t concerned about making it back in time for the regular season.

“If the game was tomorrow, I’d be out there playing”, he said Thursday afternoon.
Age certainly played a factor in Ware’s decision to make the change, as he is 33 years old and not as durable as he was during his peak in Dallas.
General manager John Elway said he had one conversation with Talib about a June 5 incident in Dallas when he suffered a bullet wound. The Broncos don’t have a timetable for his return, but because he’s a veteran they will be careful with him. “There is a 16-game season and getting ready for a post-season”. “Let’s get it all the way to the point where it’s ironclad and it can withstand the whole season”. It’s all about getting your body ready for the long haul.
Broncos coach Gary Kubiak had expressed at least some optimism as the offseason program drew to a close last month that if the Broncos held Ware out of OTAs and the team’s minicamp, he might then be ready to participate on a limited basis when training camp opens.
“By the season, I’ll be around about 94 percent”, he said with a laugh, referencing his jersey number.
“I can’t talk too much about what happened because it is under investigation, I think, in Dallas and whatever the league is pursuing. Actually, I know I’ll be ready”.
The Broncos aren’t exactly lacking in talent on the defensive line, particularly with pass-rusher extraordinaire Von Miller around. “But I also want a fair deal, and I want a fair deal for the production I’ve been putting out, so we’ll see how it goes”. “When I heard the news, I was just glad that he was going to be ok so hopefully, we don’t have to go through it again but we will see what happens, what the league does”.
He restructured his contract after the Super Bowl to stay in Denver this season. “It helps you lock in on what you’re supposed to see”.

“Some guys like them, some guys don’t”, said head coach Gary Kubiak. Our hope, my hope is that he can get back on the field as soon as possible.
