FSU football poses for team photo with, without Dalvin Cook

Cook, who was charged with misdemeanor battery in July for allegedly punching a woman outside of a Tallahassee nightclub, is suspended indefinitely from the FSU football team.

A tweet from Warchant, a website dedicated to FSU sports, reported that two versions of the team photos were taken because Florida State University coach Jimbo Fisher didn’t know how it would work out with Cook’s legal case. But whether Cook ends up playing for the defending ACC champions or not, his attorney wants closure for his client as soon as possible. In addition to the scene being a bit clumsy – in front of around four dozen members of the media, most of whom couldn’t wait to tweet the incident – it raised speculation that Cook’s reinstatement might come before the season opener on September 5 against Texas State.

The Seminoles – Cook included – arranged themselves in the bleachers at Doak Campbell Stadium for a full team photo Sunday morning. There is no video of the alleged altercation. Cook’s attorneys have previously stated the running back denies the charges and says that he did not touch his accuser. He has not participated in team activities such as practice, although he has been seen attending – but not participating in – some team-oriented activities – like FSU’s charitable Lift for Life event – this offseason.
