Hilary Duff has reportedly upped her security after being warned by police about an obsessed fan.

The former Disney Channel star’s team was alerted by the Beverly Hills police of the man, who is attempting to follow her every move, according to TMZ. He is said to have been holding a crib that he said Hilary owned, but claimed he did not have her address to return it to her.
The mum-of-one has never filed a police report or requested a restraining order against the man, who has not been identified.
The 28-year-old star was contacted by officers in Beverley Hills after they became concerned about the unnamed man’s odd behaviour.
The fan also informed the driver during the two-hour ride of his plans to propose to Duff, which in turn spurred him to contact authorities after he had parted from his client.
TMZ also says they spoke to sources close to Duff who said that the man has been a problem before, and they know what he looks like and who to look out for.

A decade ago, Duff took out a restraining order against stalker Maksim Myaskovskiy, a Russian national who travelled to LA for the sole goal of “becoming romantically involved” with Duff, who was dating Joel Madden at the time.
