Hours of testimonials, urgent pleas and persuasion have led to this.

Hillary Clinton was never quite going to be able to match the speech of Barack Obama.
“And so my friends, it with humility, determination and boundless confidence in America’s promise that I accept your nomination for President of the United States”. “As her daughter, I’ve had a special window into how she serves”. Rank-and-file Democratic lawmakers cheered the effort on.
“Once we get past the first one, the person who take the hits and who takes all the punches and is dragged through the gutter, it will be so much easier for the next one, and the next one, and the next one”, she said. “She’s worked to make it easier for foster kids to be adopted, for our 9/11 first responders to get the healthcare they deserve, for women around the world to be safe, to be treated with dignity and to have more opportunities”.
He urged Americans to ignore Trump’s message, calling the upcoming election a serious choice.
Indeed, the Democratic convention has been a visual ode those mantras: The first African-American president symbolically seeking to hand the weightiest baton in the free world to a woman.
U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown of OH called Trump a hypocrite who talked about opposing free trade deals to protect American workers but had the products sold by his companies made overseas. Punching at Mr Trump’s campaign slogan, he insisted “America is already great”. In the hall, delegates waved “Stronger Economy” signs in the same shade as the former mayor’s tie. Mr Obama addressed the American people directly, when he said: ‘Time and again, you’ve picked me up.
Mr. Obama offered an enthusiastic endorsement of Hillary Clinton, saying “nobody [is] more qualified” to be president, and galvanized delegates at the convention in Philadelphia by drawing a sharp contrast with the dark portrait of the country described by Republican nominee Donald Trump.
And when the audience began booing at the mention of Donald Trump’s name, Obama admonished them, “Don’t boo – vote”. “This is now an issue of national security”. A poll released Thursday by Rasmussen Reports showed the contest is a tie while a survey from the Los Angeles Times released Wednesday shows Trump leading by seven points, according to Real Clear Politics.
“I’d say its 50-50 – both are important”.

He said American values, not race, religion or political preference, were what made the United States great. It culminated with Clinton making a surprise appearance on stage to greet Obama with a long embrace, an nearly unimaginable image eight years ago when they battled for the Democratic nomination.
“Hillary Clinton is “lista”, he said.
“He is trying to tell us he cares about the middle class. Give me a break. That is a bunch of malarkey”. There are pockets of America that never recovered from factory closures; men who took pride in hard work and providing for their families who now feel forgotten. He’s betting that if he scares enough people, he might score just enough votes to win this election.
“Everybody knows she is smart”, Biden said.
The FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s use of a private internet server didn’t result in criminal charges, but it did appear to deepen voters’ concerns with her honesty and trustworthiness.
Other speakers include Vice President Joe Biden and vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine.
Wednesday night’s Democratic lineup was aimed at emphasizing Clinton’s own national security credentials.

The most forceful portion of Clinton’s speech arrived with a caution to voters: “Don’t believe anyone who says, ‘I alone can fix it.’ Yes, those were actually Donald Trump’s words in Cleveland, and they should set off alarm bells for all of us …”
