Democratic National Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz said Sunday afternoon that she would quit as head of the party this week, after leaked emails appeared to show bias against Bernie Sanders during his primary challenge to Hillary Clinton. She should go, he said, “not only because of the prejudice I think [the DNC] showed during the campaign but also because I think we need new leadership that will open up that party” to working people, young people and “have the kind of vitality we need”. Blowback to the emails came from all corners of the political world Sunday – including Clinton supporters and Donald Trump. It remains to be seen now if the Sanders camp will still want to honor this agreement after the email outrage. “The Florida that we know is united”.
