Bloomington Police Department to host National Night Out event
“National Night Out promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live”, said Prescott Police Chief Debora Black.

Richmond events will be 6 to 9 p.m. August 2 as the city joins communities across the country in observing the 33rd National Night Out, according to the Richmond Police Department.
From 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, residents in neighborhoods throughout Bloomington and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police.
There will also be free refreshments, youth activities, vendors and more.
National Project Coordinator Matt Peskin said, “National Night Out has proven to be an effective, low-cost and enjoyable program to promote neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships in our fight for a safer nation”.

Children can play while parents and other community members can talk openly about community issues and concerns. The event is put on by the Council of Neighborhoods and Meriden Police Department.
