Donald Trump’s Republican National Convention Speech Just Doesn’t Make Sense

In his nomination acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, Trump said that “there can be no prosperity without law and order” while stating that “in this race for the White House, I am the law and order candidate”.

“We’ve got to figure out whatever we have to do. It’s well thought out”, delegate Joshua Huff of Indianapolis said.

Stokes, a lobbyist and former chief of staff to Sen. The GOP candidate told delegates that he will crack down on violence against police.

“There will be a lot of cameras on our section tonight”. “I think he’s a lovely guy, a lovely guy”. Patrick – who spent the first three days of the convention racing around Cleveland for media appearances, preaching party unity – was conspicuously subdued Thursday morning. “We stood for principles”, Wright said, adding that he “disagrees with anybody who says we’ve been an embarrassment or that somehow we’ve said or done something to makes Utah look bad”.

After a unknown Republican leaked the final draft of Trump’s speech to the press, it was only a matter of time before the public knew what was inside.

As Trump prepared to close out the convention on Thursday, his remarks have been vetted via software that ferrets out plagiarism, seeking to avoid the kinds of problems that followed wife Melania Trump’s speech on Monday.

Cruz was given a speaking slot, though he had indicated he wasn’t going to offer an endorsement.

In Roe’s telling, Patrick was among the last people Cruz spoke with before he took the stage Thursday night, when pro-Trump forces waged a last-minute effort to get Cruz to make his speech more supportive of the nominee.

Cruz, who told Republicans they need to vote their conscience in November, was loudly booed by many other delegations as he left the stage, despite being the runner-up in the GOP presidential primary. He’ll come and endorse, because he has no choice.

Earlier in the day, various news outlets reported a leak of Trump’s nomination speech.

When asked by CNN why Trump’s campaign emphasizes fears of rising crime levels even though Federal Bureau of Investigation data shows a drop, Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, said the FBI’s statistics on crime should be viewed skeptically since the agency recommended that Clinton not be charged for her use of private email while she was secretary of state. “It was surreal” and shows the divisions within the party.

“I like Ted, he’s fine”, Trump said sarcastically at his campaign headquarters in Cleveland, as his running mate, Mike Pence, chuckled behind him.

As the crowd erupted into applause over his statement, he continued: “I have to say, as a Republican, it is so nice to hear you cheering for what I just said”. “But Hillary Clinton’s legacy does not have to be America’s legacy”.

“That one percent was all I needed; I believed in myself and made that one percent a reality”, Mealer said.

In the swirl of balloons and cheers of the masses, Donald Trump finally had his Rocky Balboa moment after a rocky convention.

Next, Trump praised the reporting of the National Enquirer, which had written a piece suggested that Cruz’s father had been photographed with Lee Harvey Oswald, President Kennedy’s assassin.
