Released from Pune’s Yerawada jail on February 25 this year, Sanjay Dutt completed five years of sentence for illegal possession of arms related to the Mumbai blasts of 1993.

However, before calling it a day, Sanjay cut a third cake with the media at 6 pm, telling them how great it felt to celebrate as a free man. “I’m happy for him, I don’t want anyone to go through what I did”, he said emotionally.

As this brings together yet another interesting collaboration of Sanjay Dutt with friend and filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar, the actor also expressed his excitement about being a part of the film.

Dutt and Khan, who were considered the best of buddies in the film industry, have not been spotted together ever since the former came out of jail earlier this year, fuelling flames of speculation that all is not well between the two. I had called him too when he got a clean chit in the court cases.

“You (media) all write that we had a fight”.

On the birthday of Sanjay Dutt, producers Sandeep Singh and Omung Kumar announced their next project that will star Sanjay Dutt in the lead role. “Somewhere justice prevails and I am happy it happened”. “There is nothing. I love him”, he added. “I will take them out today for dinner”, he told reporters here.
