In stark contrast with Trump’s speech a week ago, which created a dark and foreboding picture of America, Hillary Clinton underscored its diversity and idealism in crafting her 57-minute address.
As she spoke, they tended signs reading “HILLARY” and “STRONGER” and “TOGETHER”.
Elmets – who worked in the Reagan White House – earned a roar from the crowd at the Democratic convention Thursday night when he took the stage and said he was backing Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
“There are pockets of America that never recovered from factory closures; men who took pride in hard work and providing for their families who now feel forgotten”, Obama said. As Clinton herself said in her acceptance speech, “When there are no ceilings, the sky’s the limit”.
Clinton said Trump loses his cool at the “slightest provocation” – when he’s had tough questions from reporters, when he’s challenged in a debate or when he sees a protester at a rally.
“My earliest memory is my mom picking me up after I had fallen down and giving me a big hug and reading Goodnight Moon“, Chelsea said.
At another point in the speech she mocked Trump’s claim to know more about ISIS than the generals. Please explain to me what part of America First leads him to make Trump ties in China, not Colorado.
“You really think Donald Trump has the temperament to be Commander-in-Chief? How does she keep going amid the sound and fury of politics?” she said.
He’s forgetting every last one of us. Bernie Sanders for their input, but Clinton’s message was far from the extreme progressive values that overshadowed the beginning of the convention. “She’s a studied, serious woman, and that’s what our country needs right now”.
Another Arkansas native, retired Gen. Wesley Clark, said a Clinton victory “will mean great days are here for America”, helping to rekindle “a spirit of optimism and hope and bring people together”.
“I want to thank Bernie Sanders”. Teachers who change lives?
“I will be a president for Democrats, Republicans, and Independents”.

The Week reports the “I believe in science!” line earned Hillary Clinton the most applause in a speech filled with applause. She mocked his supposed business acumen, played up the same “con” angle that others have said about him without directly saying the words, and called him out for talking “a big game about putting America first” when he makes his products overseas.
