Aldon Smith Checks Into Rehab
Aldon Smith has constantly been in and out of the National Football League.

Oakland Raiders outside linebacker Aldon Smith has reportedly checked into a treatment center.
Smith had tweeted an apparent denial that it was him in the video.
Smith’s sobriety was put into question on Sunday by a freakish video on social media. The NFL’s substance abuse policy prohibits players who are suspended from participating in any illegal activity, and if they’re found guilty they are subject to even stiffer punishment. While the exact type of treatment is unknown, the backlash from the video seems to have been the final straw.
After a stellar college career for the Missouri Tigers, Smith was taken with the No. 7 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
Smith has been to rehab before for alcohol-related issues stemming from two DUI arrests in 2013. Smith also was in court on a probation violation in June.
Smith now is serving a yearlong suspension that was handed down in November when he violated the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.
On April 13, 2014, Smith was acting erratically at Los Angeles International Airport and became combative and belligerent with a TSA agent. He did re-sign with the Raiders in the offseason, despite the suspension.
