Kasich to help kick off the Ohio State Fair, tour grounds

“Right now it is a dead heat according to the polling numbers, which I don’t put a whole lot of stake into, because Hillary certainly has her problems”, Burress comments. “We have 100 days to go, we’ll see what happens here”.

Republican Gov. John Kasich has joined state officials in kicking off the Ohio State Fair.

As the governor was speaking, one fairgoer shouted “Endorse Trump, Kasich!”

“We had this incredible event in Cleveland, and people are trying to choose between, ‘I might go to Maui or I might go to Cleveland, ‘” he said.

Kasich stayed away from the Republican National Convention, though he had other appearances in Cleveland.

Kasich: “No, no we need to have a sign so people say I’m going to go in and check and see and they come in and you tell them, you’ve got to give them a reason to come here”. “You have to always follow your conscience in politics”. “I have a message of unity that’s pretty darn clear and pretty well defined, and I intend to continue with that message”. He said he’s already meeting with cabinet members and state agency heads to talk about what he hopes to include in his final two-year spending plan. Kasich checked up on staffers manning booths for Ohio Means Jobs and Start Talking Ohio, initiatives that aim to employ more Ohioans and encourage parents to talk about drugs with their kids, respectively. “… I want to have a 21st Century Ohio…”

Trump reacted to a question regarding reports last week that possible talks took place between his campaign and those in or near Kasich’s inner circle, to feel out any potential interest on the governor’s behalf.

You’ll remember that the Republican governor of OH refused to step foot inside the Republican National Convention in Cleveland because of his moral objections to the GOP presidential nominee.

“I have never spoken to him about being vice president”.
