But on the morning after Hillary Clinton delivered her acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention, Trump was oddly fair-minded in his assessment.

“Tonight, we’ve reached a milestone in our nation’s march toward a more ideal union”, she said, following an introduction by her daughter Chelsea, “the first time that a major party has nominated a woman for president”.
“We will strike their sanctuaries from the air and support local forces taking them out on the ground”. She could not have been more informal or charming. “I can’t put it any better”, said Clinton.
Ahead of the Clinton speeches, the conference saw a series of speeches from ordinary supporters, with Democrats – many of whom supported rival candidate Bernie Sanders – urged to set aside differences.

After Clinton’s speech, 71% of viewers CNN polled reacted very positively.

“Through all these years of public service, the “service” part has always come easier to me than the “public” part”. He gave some personal recollections of Thursday night, when Clinton accepted the nomination.

Sanders supporters chanted “no more war” when she spoke of her record as secretary of state. “Your cause is our cause”, she said, although boos were audible at points in the speech. “He wouldn’t know what the hell happened”, Trump said. Her refusal to even say the words “Radical Islam”, or to mention her disaster in Libya, or her corrupt email scheme, all show how little she cares about the safety of the American people. In her address, she tried to speak directly to Trump supporters.
“We can’t afford to have a president who’s in the pocket of the gun lobby”.

That simple fact was not lost on American women across the country. She also bridged the connection between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Clinton attacked what she calls bigotry from Trump, devoid of any real solutions to America’s problems.
