Obama, Biden & Democrats tag-team to slam Donald Trump
He called President Obama “the embodiment of honor, resolve and character”, then pivoted to Hillary Clinton, offering her his biggest compliment: “Hillary gets it”. After winning that election to become America’s first black president, Obama appointed Clinton his secretary of state and now looks to her to carry on his legacy. “That’s who we are”.

Speaking to delegates, Obama offered an alternative to businessman Trump’s vision of the United States as being under siege from illegal immigrants, crime and terrorism and losing influence in the world.
Clinton’s vice presidential running mate Tim Kaine made a folksy appeal to more centrist voters, deriding a “slick-talking, empty-promising, self-promoting one-man wrecking crew!” He has no clue about what makes America great.
Biden said Americans are strong and push through hard times.
“Preach!” members of the crowd shouted. She aimed to draw on an idea that has driven her throughout her career, that all Americans should be given the chance to fulfil their potential, a campaign aide said. “That’s why anyone who threatens our values, whether fascists or communists or jihadists or homegrown demagogues, will always fail in the end”, Obama said. “Some were Democrats, but a lot of them were Republicans”, he said. At previous, less overtly political moments, the White House has dismissed the suggestion that the countries are returning to their traditional antagonistic roles and rejected assessments – sometimes from senior military officers – that Russian Federation poses the largest threat to America.
Tonight is the final night and the main star will be Clinton.
Biden started another critical portion of the speech by saying, “let me talk to you about something other politics”.
“When Hillary Clinton walks into the Oval Office as president”, it will change the lives of daughters and granddaughters, he said.
“No major-party nominee in the history of this nation has ever known less or has been less prepared to deal with our national security”, Biden said on Wednesday night at the Wells Fargo Center for the Democratic National Convention.
Biden recounted his hardscrabble story of growing up in middle-class neighborhood of Scranton, Pennsylvania, which he used as an opening to attack Trump. “I’m not trying to be a wise guy”, Biden said to chuckles among the crowd. “That’s a bunch of malarkey”, Biden added.
He tore into Trump, mocking his pledges to build a wall along the Mexican border, asking why he has not released his tax returns and slamming his business record, including the now-defunct Trump University. “Our power comes from those immortal declarations first put to paper right here in Philadelphia all those years ago; We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that together, we, the people, can form a more ideal union”, he said.

“Hillary was tough. I was worn out”. And now I’m ready to pass the baton and do my part as a private citizen.
