The Patriots has a chance to see what they can get from their backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. The Patriots’ NFL football training camp is to begin Thursday, July 28.

On how it feels to get back on the football field: “It’s like when you break up and you finally get back with the girl that you love in the first place”. Belichick’s response is not an indictment on Garoppolo, but an ode to Brady’s greatness.
There was a fleeting moment last season when the spot Garoppolo now finds himself in almost played itself out. The silver lining in Brady’s four-game suspension for “Deflategate” is that Bill Belichick can determine if Garoppolo is the future. Brady was allowed to play while his case continued to wind through the courts. Not that Garoppolo or any quarterback would put up those numbers in a four-game span, but even if he did, it wouldn’t be enough.
“This is really the time of the year where we really try to provide everyone with their foundation for the whole year, so our philosophy really is going to remain unchanged for a while here, in terms of repetitions”. But this is a very top heavy team, and as we saw previous year, after the starters go down there isn’t much depth behind them. The 38-year-old hasn’t rapidly declined as of yet. That season resulted in the Patriots not making the playoffs, the first time that an 11-5 team didn’t make the cut since the league expanded the playoffs to 12 teams in 1990. The New England Patriots have the capability go be back in the AFC Championship Game with core of their roster still in tact.
Now, I’m not saying Brady should just sit on the sideline and do nothing.
“It’s a great opportunity”. “You have to go out there and take advantage of it. You might only get one, so you gotta make the best of it”. “Training camp is a grind, but we got to get through it”.
“I’ve dated two girls at the same time before”, Bennett said with a laugh. He said the team’s focus at the moment is preparing Garoppolo to start the season, but keeping Brady in shape for his return in Week 5.
Heading into camp, Belichick said the team’s priority was to get Garoppolo ready to run the offense by the September 11 opener. I know it, you know it, and even if the rest of the country doesn’t want to admit it, they know it, too.
“Jimmy is a good athlete; that’s kind of the first thing that jumped out at me”. I don’t really think about next year.
While it could be just a byproduct of the role he now is in, Garoppolo found a more than normal gaggle of autograph seekers and people wearing his No. 10 jersey as he left the field Thursday.
