Matt Damon to take acting break
Damon is outstanding as the tightly wound, perpetually restless and conflicted Jason Bourne, who is practically a superhero when it comes to fighting, but is utterly lost the rest of the time.

Most who have seen Jason Bourne already love it and are all ready to add the Jason Bourne DVD to their collection and to complete the quintet of films.
Jason Bourne may lack the frenetic, fly-by-the-seat-of-your trousers feel of Supremacy and Ultimatum, but those sequels also went into production without a completed script, forcing Greengrass & Co.to make things up on the fly and create the film in editing.
Matt Damon announced Thursday that after he’s done shooting his fifth straight movie without a break, he will take a year off from acting to spend time with his family. Actor Jeremy Renner stepped in to continue the series, starring in 2012’s The Bourne Legacy as Aaron Cross. Parsons has unearthed secrets about a new black ops program code named Ironhand, along with, naturally, more details about Bourne’s true background.
If you are a fan of the Bourne series, as is this writer, you will know in advance that Jason Bourne is extremely violent -to an extreme – and parents should keep anyone 17 years or younger away from this film. It’s all a bunch of gobbledygook, and Jason Bourne’s goofy-ass plot devices are knotted a bit too tightly.
So, will there be an after-credits scene in Jason Bourne? No. Films depicting heroes from James Bond to Bryan Mills of “Taken” have adopted the “Bourne” brand of action, and for that reason, the franchise should be considered iconic. His motivation to kill Bourne makes flawless sense, but then he doesn’t face him and we get the long winded auto chase through Vegas just so they can finally face off. The latest chapter in the spy saga has been drawing some subpar reviews, including the USA Today review, which said the movie stumbles despite the return of Matt Damon into the lead role.
Ambitious, career-minded CIA Agent Heather Lee (Alicia Vikander) offers an alternative: According to a psychological evaluation, Bourne may have reached a “tipping point”, and she thinks she can bring him back into the agency. This 45-year-old Damon as Bourne is more intimidating, menacing and terrifying than the 31-year-old version.
Unbeknownst to him, however, a bug placed in the downloaded files allows the sinister CIA Director, played creepily by Tommy Lee Jones, track his every move. Of course, Tommy Lee Jones’ Dewey is pulling the strings to put an end once and for all to Jason Bourne.

The thriller was directed by Paul Greengrass and written by Greengrass and its editor, Christopher Rouse. The first half hour left will leave you breathless.
