That echoes what Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said on Wednesday. Photos catured McCloughan at Redskins practice with a bandaged hand.

Gruden added that the team is going to hold out the wide receiver until he’s 100 percent.

“If you had talked to me before the draft”, McCloughan acknowledged in early May, “I would never thought that would happen”. He injured his Achilles in May, but he’s not expected miss any games.

Doctson watched the Redskins’ first walkthrough Thursday morning and afterward called it “a lingering issue”.

Cooley asked McCloughan what happened to his hand. “I’ve had hamstrings and stuff like that, but I always heal up quick, so I’m not really anxious about it”. He had a career-high 14 touchdowns and 1300 receiving yards in his last collegiate season for the Horned Frogs. Veteran wide receivers DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon are entering the final year of their deals, and quarterback Kirk Cousins is playing under the franchise tag.

Before we get started, it’s important to note that Josh Doctson is fine.
