Bagyong Carina PAGASA Weather Forecast, Storm Signals, Track and Updates

It is a rainy Friday for Metro Cebu due to a low pressure area that developed into a tropical depression called Carina.

According to PAGASA, tropical depression Carina was located at 155 km East of Catarman, Northern Samar with maximum winds of 55 kph near the center.

The storm warning, which means winds of 30-60 kilometers per hour can be expected over 36 hours, is up over Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon provinces in the Bicol region and Northern Samar, Eastern Samar and Samar provinces in Eastern Visayas.

“Though there are still uncertainties in its track and intensity, it is expected to pose a threat to the coast of Guangdong”, the Hong Kong Observatory said Saturday. These areas, the rest of Visayas, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate were alerted against moderate to heavy rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

Heavy rains are battering central Philippines as Tropical Depression Carina makes her way toward the country, with the possibility of striking southern China later.

Fisherfolk are alerted against moderate to rough seas over the eastern seaboard of Luzon and Visayas.
