Clinton Officially Accepts Democratic Party Nomination for President
Clinton also said she has no interest in taking away people’s guns, but wants to enact reforms to prevent people from being shot by those who should not have access to them.

Clinton asked whether Trump would stay true to the phrase on the country’s seal – “E Pluribus Unum”, or out of many, we are one.
Chelsea Clinton’s friendship to Ivanka Trump, daughter of Republican nominee Donald Trump, has also been of interest to voters. The FBI concluded Clinton’s actions were “extremely careless”, but did not warrant criminal charges. “She said that what anxious President Kennedy during that very risky time was that a war might be started – not by big men with self-control and restraint, but by little men – the ones moved by fear and pride”.
“Mom, I love you, I am so proud of you & I am grateful every single day you’re my mom”.
Trump did say those words when explaining why he thinks he is the best candidate for president.
“It is with humility, determination, and boundless confidence in America’s promise I accept your nomination for the president of the United States”, Clinton told the crowd as she officially became the first woman to lead a major political party’s ticket.
“We will not build a wall”.
Clinton invited people who want to “say no to unfair trade deals [and to] stand up to China” to “join us”. “We will also liberate millions of people who already have student debt. We will not ban a religion, we will work with all Americans and our allies to fight and defeat terrorism”. On Thursday, Clinton’s goal was to paint a more hopeful, optimistic vision of a nation that comes together and is, as her campaign slogan puts it, “stronger together”.
And mocking her Republican counterpart’s notoriously thin skin, Clinton declared, “A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man you can trust with nuclear weapons”. The businessman’s campaign slogan, Make America Great Again, is from Reagan’s 1980 campaign.
Maher’s guest Salman Rushdie mostly agreed, calling Thursday’s address the “best speech” he’s ever heard from Clinton and saying she even “looked happy”, unlike Bernie Sanders, who appeared to be just about as miserable as he’s ever been during the numerous times the camera cut to him.
She began by thanking her daughter Chelsea, who introduced her, and her husband and ex-President Bill, who gave a highly personal speech endorsing her running on Wednesday.
He endorsed 68-year-old Clinton, who had served as the secretary of state under his presidency, for having a first-hand knowledge of the challenges that come with the job and contrasted it with the lack of experience of the Republican nominee. Trump said at a rally in Denver.
Many women shared their surprise at how much this moment actually meant to them.
