Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said on Thursday night that the challenges facing Americans demand steady leadership and a collective spirit, contrasting her character with what she described as a unsafe and volatile Donald Trump.

“Some people just don’t know what to make of me”, she said with a frankness that is unusual in American politics. “Hillary’s stance on children and some of the other positive things she said, that says a lot about who she is”. The candidates focus will shift to campaigning from state to state, with of course a special focus on the swing states like Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. “For this time, Hillary is uniquely qualified to seize the opportunities and reduce the risks we face”, Bill Clinton said. The first debate will take place September 26th. “The truth is, through all of these years of public service, the service part has always come easier to me than the public part”. She is the hardened politician, with two decades supporting and in some cases directing policy for her husband, she then turned around and has spent another 16 years creating and carrying out the policies of the United States. “I sweat the details”, be it the amount of lead permissible in drinking water or the cost of prescription drugs. She had not been able to achieve universal healthcare and had watched as the President embarrassed the family with his affair and arguing over the definition of “is”.
