Husband of U.S. Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, and former U.S. President Bill Clinton spoke at the Democratic National Convention Tuesday night, with a speech that had a number of blunders, causing incredulous condemnation on social media.

Hillary Clinton has accepted the Democratic US presidential nomination with “humility, determination and boundless confidence in America’s promise”.

“I think a lot of people learned a lot about Hillary Clinton tonight that they didn’t know and I think you’re going to see a lot more people give her a second chance, a lot more people (will) decide that she’s the right person to lead the country”. But she told Democrats not to believe anyone who said “I alone can fix it”, in an attack on Republican rival, Donald Trump, who told his party delegates a week ago that he was the only one who could fix “the system”.

In tracing her public service as a USA senator from NY and later Secretary of State, Bill Clinton called Hillary Clinton “the best darn change-maker I’ve ever known”.

The Wall Street Journal initially ran a photo of the former president but switched in later editions to a photo of Hillary Clinton speaking on a giant screen in the arena once one became available.

She also pledges to be strong on national security, offering a strong leadership on the issue of tackling our “determined enemies”, which is obviously ISIS but they’re not mentioned by name. “You might have noticed, I love talking about mine”.

“That is not the America I know”, is not merely a fairly common phrase among political speakers. Clinton added that she would also build a bridge to citizenship.

After Obama’s speech, Clinton joined him on stage where they hugged, clasped hands and waved to the crowd.

“I’m so proud of the Indianapolis Star”, she said.
