Clinton leads Trump by 6 points after Democratic confab
And that’s the one that President Obama assured everyone was the most qualified person in history to apply for the job of commander in chief. Republicans and Democrats have both formally selected their nominees, and the candidates are slogging it out before Election Day on Nov 8. “I didn’t produce our show-I just showed up for the final speech on Thursday”, Trump had told the Times of the differences between his program and that of the Democrats.

The stakes are high: A loss to Trump could not only end Clinton’s political career, it could be a devastating coda to her and her husband’s political legacy and leave the Democratic Party weaker than it has been in a generation.
The 68-year-old Democrat portrays Trump as a threat to democracy, seeking to woo moderate Republicans repelled by the former reality TV star and shore up a coalition with progressives on the left of her party.
“It’s not so much that I’m on the ticket, it’s because of the stark choice that’s posed to Americans in this election”, she said. “But I’m here to tell you tonight – progress is possible”.
In her speech on Thursday, Clinton, 68, a former first lady and US senator, promised to make the United States a country that works for everyone if she is elected.
OH and to a lesser extent Pennsylvania are among a handful of competitive states traditionally viewed as decisive in presidential elections, because they do not lean heavily Democratic or Republican.
The convention provided hours of glowing tributes, including deeply personal testimonials from her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and former boss, President Barack Obama.
The so-called Rust Belt states are vital parts of nearly any strategy to garner the 270 electoral college votes needed to win the presidency.
Donald Trump pulled off the upset – at least in television popularity.
Trump also said divisions still linger within the Democratic Party even after a convention that saw Clinton and her primary contender Sen. “That’s the Hillary I know”. “Same old stuff, our country needs change!” “But we are not afraid”, she said. That fell short of the 32.2 million people who watched Trump speak to the Republicans a week before.
Imagine how insane Bernie Sanders delegates and supporters-the ones who were mistreated all week by Clinton delegate and DNC officials-would have gone if Clinton not only praised Sanders’ campaign (which she did), but also acknowledged she’s envious of his bravery and will power to buck the system and make himself accountable to the people rather than donors.

Experts predict that “negative partisanship” – voting against a candidate – will play a major role in deciding who makes it to the White House. Fox drew an average of 4.48 million viewers over its two weeks of coverage, while CNN finished a close second with an average of 4.28 million viewers. Sounding more like a pundit than the subject of all the vitriol, he pronounced her speech “so average” and “full of cliches”.
