Josh Gordon, the Cleveland Browns wide receiver, could be traded to the Philadelphia Eagles before the start of the new season, per league sources.

Bryant was suspended for two games last season and was suspended without pay for this season’s first four games for violating the National Football League policy on performance-enhancing substances.
Gordon, who has been suspended for 27 of Cleveland’s 32 games over the past two seasons and suspended four times in his pro career, believes he can now stay on a straight path.
Gordon also said that RGIII was the reason he committed to Baylor University in 2009, and that his friend joining the team will be a huge source of support.
No doubt, Gordon has obstacles to overcome as he prepares for the season.

Brown said Gordon is excited to be back and the team is glad to have him again.
During his 12-minute interview with media members, Gordon offered no excuses and didn’t make any promises.
That would allow Matthews to play to his strengths, but it could also take some of the pressure off of other receivers like Nelson Agholor and Josh Huff to perform.
Gordon admitted that in the past he was a selfish player.
“I don’t worry about things that I can’t control”. “He wants to make the most of his opportunity”.

“It starts with, obviously, great disappointment in the action in the first place”, Brown said. “As we discussed at our (July 19) meeting, as Commissioner, I want nothing more than to see you turn your circumstances around and succeed”, Goodell said in a letter to Gordon released by the league on Monday. “He’s done it for a while so I think the younger guys need to get the lion’s share [of reps]”. We’re just trying to find a lot of different combinations now that Des is going to be down to see if we can put our best guys out there.
