Hillary Clinton’s Speech Was a Powerful Moment for Mothers and Daughters
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton accepted her party’s nomination on Thursday, challenging the campaign message of Republican nominee Donald Trump as being all about himself. “It’s not just a slogan for our campaign”.

“We are clear-eyed about what our country is up against”.
The intraparty tensions that erupted at the convention’s opening, inflamed by the WikiLeaked Democratic National Committee emails, were salved by the swift, even if not swift enough, dispatch of party chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. The Democratic event, packed with celebrities and well-received speeches by President Barack Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and former President Bill Clinton, had reached more viewers than the Republicans for each of the first three nights of their respective conventions. I heard a lot this week about the natural Democratic coalition.
“It’s a speech delivered from a fantasy universe, not the reality we live in today”, Trump said in a statement posted to social media.
“I get it that some people just don’t know what to make of me”, Clinton said in accepting the nomination.
However, Trump did allude to working with others in different parts of his speech.
When we love the Jewish child and the Palestinian child, the Muslim and the Christian and the Hindu and the Buddhist and those who have no faith but they love this nation-we are reviving the heart of our democracy.
In her convention speech, Clinton boasted that she traveled to more than 100 countries.
Even so, a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Friday showed Clinton leading Republican rival Donald Trump by 6 percentage points.
She went on to say many people mistakenly laughed off Trump: “They think he couldn’t possibly mean all the disgusting things he says-like when he called women ‘pigs.’ Or said that an American judge couldn’t be fair because of his Mexican heritage”. “Our military is a disaster”. So we rate Clinton’s claim Mostly True.
Democrats will also attack Trump’s standing with blue-collar voters, hoping to undercut his strength by saying his profits come at the expense of the ordinary workers he purports to support.
For American women, if the past eight years have been good times, then Clinton is your candidate. Trump furniture in Turkey, not Ohio.
Framed this way, the election isn’t a choice between Trump and Clinton.
David Plouffe, the man responsible for Obama’s victory in 2012, has said that in this cycle, Trump is the candidate he dreamed about running against. “Well, he could start by actually making things in America again”.
We found examples of Trump ties made in China, suits in Mexico and furniture in Turkey. [Presumably a reference to some of Trump’s recent statements about possibly reneging on obligations to defend certain North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies.] We will lead and strengthen North Atlantic Treaty Organisation… Mrs Clinton has more money, more staff and a better turn-out operation than her opponent. Obama was hopeful, positive, and gave his symbolic power as a black man who shattered a ceiling imposed by the color line to Hillary Clinton, a woman who will march forward into history as another “first” to win the White House as she (hopefully) breaks a barrier imposed by sexism.
The deal lifts sanctions on Iran for the country’s cooperation in agreeing to curb its nuclear program and allow inspections.
We mourn fewer people today because of your fearless actions.
In her acceptance speech Thursday, Clinton urged the public to “imagine, imagine” the idea of a Trump presidency, calling him temperamentally unfit.
“Our economy is so much stronger than when they took office”. How can we make it clear that Hillary’s job never interfered with her primary womanly role, motherhood?
“One hundred percent I will be voting for [Clinton] in November”, Jones said.

Clinton is also pledging to tackle police racial profiling, and acknowledges that there is a huge problem with this – in addition, she wants to extend Medicare and rights to the citizens of Puerto Rico. Bernie Sanders. She praised them all and thanked them for their service. “Not because we resent success”.
