Liverpool complete move for Wijnaldum
New Liverpool signing Georginio Wijnaldum has set his sights on helping the club to win silverware.

The Sunderland Echo claims Wijnaldum is keen on a move to Anfield and the 25-year-old is expected to travel to Merseyside ahead of a deal being finalised.
The Liverpool boss isn’t one to rush out and panic buy a big player for silly money to fill a gap or appease the fans, like we’ve seen at other prominent English clubs (we’re naming no names).
The Dutch midfielder only joined Newcastle last summer from PSV Eindhoven, but the Magpies’ relegation from the Premier League has spelt the end of his stint at St. James’ Park.
“Gini leaves with our very best wishes for his future career”.
According to The Sun, Klopp is ready to follow up Wijnaldum’s imminent arrival with a £28.2m move for Schalke starlet Max Meyer, who he tried to sign two years ago while manager of Borussia Dortmund.
Previous year I didn’t watch him too much but I never forgot how well he performed at Eindhoven and as a very young boy in Rotterdam.
“I think he can be a great player for us”, Klopp said. I look forward to working with [Klopp].
“On working with Jurgen Klopp, he added: “[He seems] a great man – from the outside – because I don’t know how he works yet and I have to work with him.
“At this moment I have no idea who I will play in our first friendly game in the United States, I think we have 15 or 16 players who could go 90 minutes and we will see how the English and Belgian boys are”.
“When I talked to him I could tell that he knows we have to work together to get this level out of him”.
Klopp has already signed Sadio Mane, Loris Karius, Ragnar Klavan, Alex Manninger and Joel Matip this season although the latter signed a pre-contract back in January.

“It’s hard to put it into words, because it’s been a dream of mine for 22 years to come to the Premier League and be a part of this unbelievable club, Liverpool”.
