Trump campaign calls Clinton’s DNC speech ‘insulting’

Last night, Hillary Clinton became the first woman to be nominated for president by a major party.

“And now I’m ready to pass the baton and do my part as a private citizen”. “Hillary’s refusal to mention Radical Islam, as she pushes a 550 per cent increase in refugees, is more proof that she is unfit to lead the country”, Trump said in a series of tweets blasting Clinton on her acceptance speech as the presidential nominee of the Democratic party. Today on Think, Krys Boyd hosted a two-hour special on Hillary Clinton and the DNC.

Clinton’s speech wrapped up a week of speeches that included President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Vice Presidential Nominee Tim Kaine, and former President Bill Clinton.

“You know, nothing truly prepares you for the demands of the Oval Office”. Until you’ve sat at that desk, you don’t know what it’s like to manage a global crisis, or send young people to war. But one would expect a man who believes Clinton “created ISIS” and “needs to go to jail” to disparage her oratory in considerably harsher terms. When Khizr Khan, the father of a Muslim-American soldier who gave his life for his country, offered to lend Trump his personal copy of the U.S. Constitution, American politics gained an iconic moment. Not really a facts guy, either.

“It’s true, I sweat the details of policy”, Mrs Clinton said, adding that details should be a “big deal” to the president.

Who would have thought eight years ago that Obama and Clinton would be hugging it out-warmly and all cuddly-like-years after the president once called her “likable enough” during a debate. Clinton will say that “we are not afraid”.

Clinton made a point to thank Sanders and his supporters early on in her speech, assuring them that, “I’ve heard you”.

“A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man you can trust with nuclear weapons”, she said to the crowd.

He also knocked the length of her “very long” 57-minute speech. “Like so much else, I got this from my mother”, Hillary said. “You might have noticed, I love talking about mine”. Hillary Clinton will say anything to get elected.

But she said the nation must keep going until all 161 million women and girls in the country had the opportunities they deserve.

While touching on issues like LGBT rights, systemic racism, gun control, and the cost of college, Clinton kept coming back to her opponent in the November election.
